Parent Education Night

Inquisitive Minds is a unique and individualized education experience for both students and families. We strive to ensure that each student thrives within our hands-on classroom structure, and benefits from our state of the art curriculum. We place a large focus on social-emotional learning, which has lasting impacts on students social and academic success later in life. We provide a daily "Social Circle" for most ages, during which time students engage with  activities, stories, and discussions which center around social and emotional topics.

We also utilize Conscious Discipline as our classroom management strategy in our schools, which is what Parent Education Night centers around. Conscious Discipline weaves social-emotional learning into most aspects and areas of the daily schedule, to provide students with as many opportunities as possible to reinforce helpful habits and coping skills. 

Parent engagement in Parent Education Nights provides wraparound care for the students, as their parents learn what the students are learning, and can therefore reinforce habits and skills at home in order to increase consistency for the child. It also allows the parents to understand the mission and values of IQM, while honing their own skills and growing with their children!
